In addition to my private practice, I supervise patient care by interns in their 4th and final year of their naturopathic education at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC) in North York. This is a teaching facility and as such, you will receive care from the intern, under my direct supervision and collaboration. This may provide a more affordable option for naturopathic care.
For more information about the RSNC (what to expect, location, booking, rates, etc), click here. To book an appointment, call 416-639-1774.
Appointments on my shift at the RSNC are available Wednesday’s 8:45am-1pm.
My name is Celeste Borghese and I am a fourth year intern at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, working under the close supervision of Dr. Lisa Smith, ND. I graduated from the University of Guelph Humber with honours where I obtained a degree in Kinesiology and a diploma in Fitness and Health promotion. I work part time as a physiotherapist assistant at a boutique gym in the heart of Kleinberg, Ontario where I get to work closely with a variety of clients from athletes to beginners. There, I help people work towards their fitness goals by teaching them the fundamentals of strength and conditioning. Throughout my internship thus far I have seen and helped individuals with a variety of conditions and health concerns under the supervision of experienced Naturopathic Doctors. Our goal is to take the time to listen carefully to our patients in order to obtain a full and thorough history before developing a treatment plan that is thoughtfully designed just for them. I have a special interest in dermatological concerns, gastrointestinal health, weight management, cardiovascular health, hormone regulation and common conditions that can occur frequently in healthy persons. Together, I would like to help you get to the root cause of your illness and make life long changes to your health.
Ariana Candaras is a fourth year intern at the Canadian College of Naturopathic medicine, working with patients under the supervision of experienced Naturopathic Doctors, including Dr. Smith. She received her bachelor of science from the University of Guelph. Her main interests are botanical medicine, lifestyle counselling, dietary support and exploring the mind-body connections found in everyday health concerns. Ariana is interested in providing you with sustainable, long-lasting tools so you can be in charge of your own health for years to come. No condition is off limits; though she has special interest in digestive health, skin issues and mental health.
My name is Aishwarya L and I am currently in my last year at CCNM, I am working under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Lisa Smith, ND at the RSNC teaching clinic.
I started my journey to being a 4th Year Intern at the RSNC by obtaining an Honour Bachelors of Science Degree Specializing in Neuroscience and Majoring in Psychology at the University of Toronto. I then underwent four years of educational and clinical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) where I took courses in how to treat patients with fibromyalgia, children, mental health concerns, those with fertility issues and more.
Given my education, my focus is in family medicine and women's health; from adolescence to menopause, fertility and neurological disorders. In my free time I love great chemistry in the kitchen and therefore love to cook. Hence healthy eating is my main focus in helping people. Appreciation of chemistry also allows me to select the best combination of evidence based treatments and supplements for your care both initially and as the treatments progress. I also use western herbs as teas or tinctures, sometimes abstract homeopathic sessions to find your individualized remedy, physical exercises, hot and cold water therapy and manipulations to bring your body into balance, and energy medicine like acupuncture to harmonize your body's energetic channels. I can help bring a person to emotional, spiritual and mental balance in their lives. My systematic yet intuitively creative treatment approach offers a unique perspective to your care. Let me simplify the way we approach your condition and find a way to help treat you naturally.
